What is PMR446

PMR 446 is a license free short-range radio system which does not require a radio license. They have a range of around 3kms 'under ideal conditions', making them ideal for car to car communications when traveling in convoy.

Far better than mobile phones...
Cheaper - the only cost is the initial purchase and the batteries/rechargeable batteries. Most use AAA batteries.
Convenient - Select a channel - ( we use channel 5 ... as in MX-5 ) then just press the transmit button and speak. No dialing numbers etc. You can inform ALL of changes to plans or ask to stop/slow down if you get caught in traffic.

NOTE: Everyone can hear everything that is happening on the selected channel.
