Northampton Balloon Festival Picnic

From 'WhatsonWhen.com'

The Northampton sky fills with colour as more than 90 hot air balloons, propelled by ten tons of propane gas, take to the air for the Balloon Festival.
In 2002 the event welcomes the Virgin Airship and Balloon Company, who bring ten special balloons to delight the thousands who gather to watch the action.
In the past, special shapes have included the Tesco trolley, the RAC's flying van, Lloyds TSB's giant sign and the seductively cool-looking Budweiser can, as well as the Benadryl balloon (the giant orange and navy teardrop that made its debut at the London Marathon this year), not forgetting the 120-foot AXA FA Cup balloon. Look out for more fun shapes over the long summer weekend.

What we expected to see

But

NO balloons were flying...   :-(

After the picnic the MX-5's headed towards Stoke Bruerne.

The tourists usual photo...  :-)

First Stop - The Boat Inn for a drink ...  :-)

Just 6 MX-5's for the days event.

Did everyone stay at home ?
